Meet the In This Moment Weddings Team

Hello and welcome to In This Moment Weddings! We would like to invite you to learn a bit more about the three wonderful, talented women behind the company. With over 9 years of event experience the In This Moment Weddings team is eager to assist with the planning and execution of your wedding day!

BREANNA

Hey there my name is Breanna Horwood, I am the founder and creator of In This Moment Weddings. I have flourished in the wedding industry for over 6 years. I grew up in the beautiful Foothills of Alberta as a 5th generation homesteader. I moved to Kelowna BC in 2014 to attend the Centre for Arts and Technology (CATO); where I graduated with a diploma from the Events and Promotional Management program. 

Since graduating, I have immersed myself in the wedding industry. Starting off by working with a décor company in Kelowna where I had hands-on experience with wedding centrepieces, backdrops, flowers, balloons, textiles and more. When I moved back to Alberta I joined a local event company where my event skills continued to expand. I was a part of the planning and delivery of a variety of events including trade shows, markets, launch parties, paint nights, birthdays and of course weddings. 

Outside of work I like to enjoy my free time either in the kitchen cooking up something new, spending time relaxing with my cats, going on adventures with friends or crafting while binge watching my extensive DVD collection. 

With the launching of In This Moment Weddings my goal is to assist couples in the planning and execution of their wedding day. I have a true passion for weddings and creating events filled with love, beauty and laughter. I believe every couple deserves to enjoy every moment of their wedding, because every moment is precious. 

JAINA 

Hi, I’m Jaina Sigouin! Currently, I am a full-time university student working towards a sociology degree then I will be doing the after-degree for elementary education. In high school, I fell in love with event planning and leadership. I have always enjoyed planning parties for myself and friends but during high school, I learned I loved planning larger events. During grade 11 I had the privilege of helping one of my teachers plan her wedding and from there I was hooked. That experience opened the door to a whole new world!

Breanna and I had the privilege of meeting in 2019; I felt an automatic connection with her that makes it seem like I’ve known her for years. She is the big sister I never had. She has become a role model and my motivation to excel in the wedding industry, I sincerely believe I would not be the person I am today without her. I am very excited to be a part of her journey with In This Moment Weddings as we help couples create and execute their dream wedding. 

I have dreamt of becoming a teacher since I was little; my goal is to be an advocate for students who struggle with learning disabilities. On my days off I am known to binge watch entire Netflix series. I love going to the mountains and being outside, but my new favourite way to spend a free day is by painting!

DANIELLE

Hi! My name is Danielle Murdoch. I have always loved planning parties, thinking big from a young age. I always wanted to be the kid with the best birthday parties on the block. I continued to explore this through planning parties and events for my family and friends and looking for opportunities to plan events through my day job. My love of planning events came to a head when I planned my own wedding in 2018. Since then, I have been looking for opportunities to do more!

By day, I am an Executive Assistant and along with my husband, I own a small jewellery company. I bring a mixed bag of skills to the table – creativity, communications, organization, attention to detail and a love of planning events! 

Working with In This Moment Weddings is an exciting opportunity to use these skills and I am looking forward to the opportunity to help bring your dream event to life. 

In my spare time, I love reading, spending time with my husband and our dog, crafting and dreaming about getting my letter to Hogwarts.
